Gearing up for another walk season, I've gathered some of my favorite walking recovery products here. The Bob & Brad Lite Foot Massager (Mo: 827-R) is a game-changer (in my world), followed by both the Bob & Brad C2 and mini massage guns, and finally, the Body Back Buddy massage cane.
Foot Massager: Bob and Brad Lite Foot Massager
My newest addition to the squad. This thing's a lifesaver on rest days. The remote's awesome – just turn it on and it does its thing unless you want it stronger. It's got different modes and heat (nice and toasty), plus it squeezes and kneads. Downside? It's limited to 15-minute sessions, which can fly-by sometimes. Also, there's no kickstand to angle my feet up.
This massage gun has moved up the ranks in the last year or so. The ball head has been my go-to, and the battery is still decent. The only thing is the rubber grip does slip a bit during operation.
Mini Massage Gun: Bob and Brad
I love this massage gun because it's easier to grip. The battery has also held up well. The only issue here is that I find the power levels could be stronger.
I use this tool to get to muscle knots on my back. It works wonders. I also use the center knobs to get into the deep muscle tissue in my calves. The only issue I had was that the larger hook knob is more pointed, which is a little too much at times, but it's no big deal.
In a nutshell, I ruptured both Achilles tendons while playing squash and basketball between 2010 and 2017. I gave up all lunging sports and switched to low-impact walking as my main source of exercise. For all the drama about my Achilles tendons, check out my "About Me" page.
All this muscle pain relief stuff is great, but, if your muscles are feeling a bit off, your best bet is to swing by your doctor or a medical whiz. They've got the personalized advice and treatment that'll get you feeling tip-top.
